AMU is cutting its tuition by 22 percent for students entering in the fall of 2014, the university announced Thursday in a statement that also said that there would be no cuts to academic or student life activities despite the tuition drop.

 A large black bear meandered through Ave Maria's Hampton Village neighborhood for about three hours Tuesday afternoon, before being chased away by Collier County Sheriff's deputies. Bears were around town at this time last year as well, and one was shot and killed last September by a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer.
