The Donahue Academy Shamrocks notched another impressive win Saturday night, defeating Lakeside Christian 40-14 at North Park in Ave Maria. The Shamrocks now have won their first.three games of the seven-man football season.
Matt Houde had two touchdown receptions while Dan Scanlan and Luke Scheck added a TD reception each and John Hurley ran for one score. On defense, Cale Schneider had a fumble recovery, which was forced by Andreas Waldstein. Dominic Allan led the defense with 6 tackles, 1 assist and 4 quarterback sacks. Albert Mathews had 3 knock down passes.
"It was another strong effort by the entire team and I am proud of the leadership displayed by the seniors," said Coach Rich Scanlon. "We have a tough road game in Vero Beach next week against Masters Academy, which played 11-man football last season. After that we have a bye week, then, Clearwater Academy will come to North Park in a newly added game on Saturday September 28th at 3:30pm."
