Arthrex Update On Agenda for AMSCD Meeting

The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board of supervisors will hear updates on construction of the new Arthrex facility among other topics on the agenda for the meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Marielena Stuart's campaign committee's fundraising lagged all contenders -- even other fringe candidates -- in the third quarter, and had just $51 cash on hand as of Sept. 30. Campaign finance reports show top-tier candidates for the Republican nomination raised hundreds of thousands of dollars each in the same quarter.

Donahue Football Win Qualifies Team for Playoffs

The Donahue Academy Shamrocks notched their seventh victory of the season -- a school record -- Friday night beating previously undefeated Oasis of Cape Coral 45-27. The win qualifies the team for the state playoffs beginning Nov. 11-12.

Ave Maria University has scheduled a memorial Mass for former campus pro-life leader Jon Scharfenberger Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. His funeral service is Saturday in his hometown of Warwick, NY.
