Bridal Shower
Lauren Wilson and Jose Enrique were married in the Oratory on Saturday October 1, 2011. Nancy Freeman hosted a bridal shower at her home in Bellera Sept. 17 with Stephanie Smith. Stephanie and her friends decorated Nancy's home to look like a French restaurant. The 17 girls in attendance wore cocktail dresses at 10 in the morning and sipped on Mimosas and listened to French music which in itself was great fun. One of the games included advice from each of the girls in which Lauren had to guess who gave the offering. Advice ranged from saying a daily rosary, letting Jose have the last word, being nice to his mother, to having dinner ready on the table every night (which drew many laughs) to having lots of children.
Black mustaches were handed out for photos to get everyone in the party mood.
Civitan Club
A group of Ave Maria residents hosted the Civitan Club from Naples September 21 for a visit to Ave Maria (right). The President of the Club sent a thank you note and said, " I love the chapel and the ambiance of Ave Maria. It is a great place, especially to send your kids to study."
The visit began with lunch at the Bean, a tour of the Museum, Oratory and University and ended with a wine and cheese get together at the Residents Lounge in Del Webb.
