Donahue Loses Hard-Fought Playoff Game

The Donahue Academy Shamrocks' playoff run ended Friday with a heartbreaking 68-61 loss to Lakeside Christian of Clearwater in the state six man football semi-finals. Donahue battled back from a 28-7deficit at the end of the first quarter.

Christmas decorations began going up in Ave Maria Tuesday. Seasonal events planned in town so far include the Celebration of Lights Dec. 2 and the AMU Choirs presenting Lessons and Carols for Advent Dec. 8.

Marine Corps Birthday Celebrated with Cake and Gyrene Burgers

Chicago Fire Return to Ave Maria in January

The Major firelogoLeague Soccer Chicago Fire will return to train in Ave Maria in January for two weeks, from Jan. 20 to Feb. 3, a representative of Barron Collier confirmed Monday. As the team did last year, they will have pracitice sessions open to the public and some exhibition games at North Park. A full schedule will be made available when it is released.

Donahue Advances to Sixman Football Semi Finals

UPDATE: The Donahue Academy Shamrocks sixman football squad earned a berth in the state semi-finals Friday night, beating F.I.S.H 55-34 at North Park in Ave Maria. Donahue will play Lakeside Christian from Clearwater Friday, Nov. 25, in Safety Harbor, FL, at a NEW TIME: 3 p.m. (changed from 5 p.m.)
