Celebration of Lights Delights Large Crowd in Ave Maria Town Center

The outdoor skating rink (above) was one of the main attractions at the Ave Maria Celebration of Lights Friday night which drew one of the largest crowds ever to the bustling town center.
A holiday parade, music, a visit from Santa and even outdoor ice-skating will delight children of all ages at the Ave Maria Celebration of Lights Friday, Dec. 2, from 5-9 pm. And for children above a certain age, a wine bar will be set up outside the Queen Mary Pub serving special holiday treats. To prepare, Annunciation Circle will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m Friday morning until after the festivities. Click for more information in the event flyer

St. Nick is going to be busy around Ave Maria the next few days, with an appearance at the annual Breakfast with St. Nick Sunday, Dec. 4, following his visit to the Celebration of Lights Friday. The Breakfast with St. Nick, sponsored by Ave Maria University student government and the Knights of Columbus, raises money for local parishes and collects toys for the Guadalupe Center in Immokalee. Alta Private Health Group invites the Ave Maria community to attend a presentation about its services at the Queen Mary Pub on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30.
