The Ave Maria Celebration of Lights drew people from throughout southwest Florida Friday night to the bustling town center.
Visitors and residents enjoyed music of all types on three different stages set up in town and numerous activities -- including bungee jumping, wall climbing and ice skating -- kept children and adults delighted throughout the evening.
Right, perhaps only in Florida would a mom in flip-flops be on the skating rink with her daughter, learning to skate.

Left, a choir sang carols in front of the Ave Maria Oratory.

Right, performers from the Ave Children's Theater sang some of the tunes from the musical "Annie" which will be staged in late January. At right in picture, Leah Baker (in red wig) as Annie and Marco the Dog as Sandy.

Left, Drea Clement of Orange Blossom sporting a holiday hat as she goes for her first ever horseback ride.

Right, the manger scene and tree in front of the oratory.
