Several members from the Ave Maria parish respect life committee were in Sarasota last week for the 25th anniversary conference of Florida Respect Life. The conference keynote was delivered by former Planned Parenthood employee turned pro-life advocate Abby Johnson (pictured at right with Bellera resident Nancy Freeman), who not only had a change of heart on life issues but also will be received into the Catholic Church later this year.
"The theme of the conference was 'With God All Things are Possible,' and Abby certainly proved that," Mrs. Freeman said on her return.
Don a
nd Mary Stuller also attended, and had a display table promoting their "Yes to Life" fundraiser that raises money for pro-life groups. They sell distinctive blue magnets for cars, which can be purchased by calling Mary at 239-200-4331.
