AMU Celebrates 10th Anniversary

 Ave Maria University is marking its 10th anniversary this week with a series of events, culminating with a busy Saturday, Oct. 12, that will feature the announcement of a new project dedicated to Mother Teresa, the first home football game on campus, and a Birthday BBQ for the entire Ave Maria community.

Donahue Fields 11-man Football Team for First Time

 The Donahue Academy junior varsity football team had a different look on the field Saturday -- 11 players instead of the usual seven. The school's first 11-man squad beat Marco Island 13-6, and will play one more contest although there are no plans to play a full 11-man schedule.

 Ave Maria University won its second straight football game -- their first-ever back-to-back victories -- beating Concordia 48-34 in Selma, Ala.

 The Ave Maria University Gyrenes beat Warner University 27-3 Saturday in Lake Wales, FL, for the team's second-ever victory, and the first for head coach Marty Quinn.
