Conference at AMU Will Explore Women's Career, Family Choices

 A one-day conference put on by a group of Ave Maria University students March 19 aims to help young women sort out options as career professionals and mothers. Speakers include Kathryn Lopez, an editor with National Review magazine, and Leah Darrow, a former contestant on America's Top Model who now speaks on Catholic issues. UPDATE: The Ave Maria University women's basketball team has reached the finalsof the national tournament of the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association national championship tournament in Uniontown, PA. Jackson Lab Picks Sarasota as Main Florida Location

The Jackson Laboratory, which had planned to build a facility to anchor a biomedical research village near Ave Maria, has announced it will establish its lab in Sarasota County, pending local approvals.

Opera Naples Seeks Singers for Chorus

 Opera Naples is auditioning for people to sing in the chorus for the Verdi Requiem Mass, which will be performed in Ave Maria March 27 and in Naples March 31 and April 2.

Lady Gyrenes #1 Seed in National Basketball Tournament

 The Ave Maria women's basketball team is the top seed in the national championships of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, an organization of schools with enrollment under 2,000.
