Munchkins Store for Kids' Clothes, Accessories, Now Open

Large Crowd at North Park for Chicago Fire Game

 A crowd estimated at as many as 1,000 people jammed the east sideline at North Park Thursday night for an exhibition soccer game between the MLS Chicago Fire and Florida Gulf Coast University. A new volume showcases the work of nine poets who submitted entries in a national contest for poems about The Annunciation. The poems in The Annunciation in Poetry and Sculpture are set against the backdrop of color photographs of the creation of the marble sculpture of The Annunciation carved for the façade of the Ave Maria oratory.

Towey: Seeing Ave Maria Turned His Decision

Jim Towey, the next president and CEO of Ave Maria University, told the National Catholic Register his visit to the town and campus in January was the key factor in his decision process. "What really swung me was the visit to the campus in January to speak there. I was so surprised. It was something I had never seen before." He also said that Cardinal Wuerl of Washington " twisted my arm a little bit when I was discerning to take the job.
