National Mass for Terri Schiavo at AMU March 31

The Mass for "Terri's Day" will be held at Ave Maria University for the third consecutive year at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 31, with Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life as the principal celebrant.

Chicago Fire's Ave Maria Training Schedule Released

 The MLS Chicago Fire plan two training sessions a day that will be open to the public on most of the days they are training in Ave Maria from Feb. 14-Feb. 25 They also will play an exhibition game against Florida Gulf Coast University Feb. 17.

Ave Maria University announced Thursday that Jim Towey, a lawyer with experience in academia, government and Catholic missionary work, will be the university's president and CEO effective July 1. Current President Nick Healy will remain involved as President Emeritus and founder Tom Monaghan will step back from day-to-day management, the university announced. Now in its third year, the Stable Life of Ave Maria Equestrian Center has been growing steadily and now will be home to the Ave Maria University equestrian team, being formed for the fall, 2011 term.
