Referendum in Ave Maria June 27 Will Determine Process for Choosing AMSCD Board Members

Residents of Ave Maria have their own referendum Monday, and will decide whether to change the way supervisors are chosen for the five-member board of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District. Voting is between noon and 6 p.m. in the office of the Ave Maria Master Association in the town center.

AMSCD Direct Election Referendum Passes 102-3

Voters who participated in a special referendum in Ave Maria voted overwhelmingly Monday to put the town on a path to directly elect one or more members of the board of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District.

Donahue Academy Initiates Search for New Head of School

Just a month after the board of the Donahue Academy of Ave Maria told parents it was pleased that Headmaster Mark Jahnke would return in that position next year, the board said that instead it would search for a new headmaster and Mr. Jahnke would return to teaching at the K-12 Catholic school.
