Fr. Angelus Shaughnessy to Conduct 2-day Retreat in Ave Maria

The noted preacher, who has been a frequent contributor to the mission of EWTN, will conduct a retreat entitled "Go Into the Whole World" on the evenings of April 28 and 29. Work Starting on Milano's Pizza

Construction will start shortly on Milano's Pizza in the town center, town developer Barron Collier has announced. "We're looking forward to the opening of Milano's and think it will be a great addition to the town," said Barron Collier's Cee Cee Marinelli, adding that it's hoped the restaurant will open around the start of the fall academic term. Milano's will be located next to Qwik Pack and Ship, in the same building as the Visitors Center.
Ave Maria Foundation for the Arts Announced

The formation of the Ave Maria Foundation for the Arts was announced today at the completion of the first phase of the sculpture of The Annunciation for the Oratory. AMU President Nick Healy said the foundation's goals are to foster "world class art that will draw people from all over the world." Above, sculptor Martón Váró at the announcement.

Efforts Begin to Start Pre-School in Town Center

Dr. Caitlin McLaughlin Raiger, who opened a dental practice in Ave Maria recently, is spearheading an effort. to start a pre-school in the town center. Dr. Raiger also hopes to bring part-time pediatric services to the town. She is holding an information session at The Bean Sunday after the 10 a.m. Mass for residents to learn more about both efforts.
