1st Phase of Annunciation Sculpture Completed

The head, face and shoulders of Mary -- which sculptor Martón Váró calls the "hardest part" of the 3-story bas relief -- has been completed and AMU says it will be "presented to the community" at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 17. All are welcome to attend the presentation, as well as a reception that evening to announce the Ave Maria Foundation for the Arts that will be held at Galerie du Soleil. All are invited to the reception, but an RSVP is required. Click here for details.

Work Starts on Cell Phone Tower

Crews start work adjacent to South Park on constructing a new cell phone tower which is expected to be operational in late summer or early fall. At least two carriers -- said to be AT&T and Verizon -- will be using the tower when it begins service.
