Daryl Klein had barely gotten his hand down to start the egg hunt Easter morning when about 50 kids streamed across the university mall, picking up the colored eggs strewn across the grass.
Children of all ages began gathering after the 10 a.m. Mass and one observer likened the scene to the Sooners lining up for the Oklahoma land rush. The eggs were gathered up quickly as the kids in their Easter finery scrambled across the lawn, scooping up hundreds of goodies. At right, Elizabeth Burke, 2, returns with a filled basket.
This was the second year for the egg hunt, organized by residents of the town.
