AMSCD Begins Budget Discussions at May 5 Meeting

A major topic for the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board when it meets May 5 will be the 2009-2010  budget. The preliminary proposal calls for no increase in assessments. The meeting is at 9 a.m. at the fitness center and all town residents can attend. There will be a discussion of the proposed budget, and a date will be set for a public hearing on the budget, likely in early August.

Tom Monaghan Promises Support for Law School Through 2017

Mr. Monaghan says in a letter to the Florida department of education that he'll cover operating deficits through 2017 and pay a large share of relocation costs for the law school's move to Naples. Click here for the full story from the Naples Daily News.

First Recital by Ave Maria Dance Academy Sunday

More than 30 students from the Ave Maria Dance Academy will perform ballet and tap numbers at the academy's first recital Sunday, May 3. In addition to the students, who range in age from 3-8, instructors Erica Ledesma and Julianna Kimbell also will perform. The recital is at the Donahue Academy at 1 p.m.
