New Adoration Chapel to Open July15

Fr. Robert Garrity, director of campus ministry for Ave Maria University, is preparing to open a chapel dedicated to Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist. The chapel opens July 15, and Fr. Garrity is urging town residents to sign up for an adoration time slot.

Cell Phone Tower Rises

celltowerVertical construction has started on the cell phone tower that will dramatically improve service quality in Ave Maria. Verizon and AT&T will be the first carriers to provide service, which will include both voice and 3G data capability. The tower is located on land adjacent to South Park. Barron Collier Vice-President Tom Sansbury says that the target date to begin service is mid-October.

Martin Doman to Perform and Speak July 15

Performing artist Martin Doman will speak and play his music at the Ave Maria Founders Club meeting Wednesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. at the Bean. His presentation is entitled "Praying Twice: Music with a Prayerful Purpose."

New Town Resident Offers Fitness Classes

holly1Holly Imbus begins offering a range of fitness classes July 6, including a new fitness routine called Zumba that is growing in popularity. Classes will be held in the Ave Maria fitness center and all classes will be free the first week.
