New "Megadorm" Dedicated at AMU

Calling it an "example of long-term thinking," Ave Maria University officials cut a ceremonial ribbon in front of the newest building on the campus -- a so-called "megadorm" that can house 550 students.

Ave Maria Turns Out for Randall's Benefit

 The Ave Maria town center was "Rockin' with Randall" Sunday night as a large crowd of students and residents attended a benefit concert for 6-year-old Ft. Myers boy, Randall Nychyk, who is being treated for a brain tumor. The concert was organized by Ave Maria University senior John Jochum, above with Randall.

AMU Teams Begin Play in NAIA

 The volleyball team lost 3-0 to Sun Conference leaders Embry-Riddle University Sunday and are now 1-1 in the conference. The men's soccer team played its first league game Saturday, losing 3-0 to Savannah College of Art and Design.

Ave Maria Town Center Work Wins Architectural Award

The architecture firm Looney Ricks Kiss a won major Southeastern U.S. honor -- an Aurora Award -- for its work in the Ave Maria town center. designed four of the six buildings in La Piazza -- the two on the north side of the town center, and the buildings housing the fitness center and Tropical Smoothie.
