Local Team Fares Well in World Paintball Tournament

New Cell Phone Tower Now in Service

 Cell phone reception has improved in Ave Maria -- at least for customers of Verizon which has started service from a new cell phone tower. AT&T service is expected in the next few weeks.

Couple Shares Knowledge of Fatima

 Jim and Jean Dudek (above in their Emerson Park home) have arranged a visit to Ave Maria later this year by the bishop emeritus of the diocese that includes Fatima, Portugal. The Dudeks, who have been to Fatima 17 times and led 11 pilgrimages, will speak Oct. 13 on the The Story and Message of Our Lady of Fatima.

A double-header at North park: the JV Shamrocks play Clearwater Academy at 5 p.m. Then, under the lights, the Varsity six-man footbal squad plays Citrus Park Academy at 7:30 p.m.. In action last weekend, both teams lost -- JV fell 33-12 to Lakeside Christian in its first-ever game and the Varsity lost 39-20 to Geneva Classical Academy to even their record to 1-1. State Senate Delegation Visits Ave Maria
