Collier Family Farms Now Officially "Organic"

organic-90Collier Family Farms, south of the Ave Maria town center, has been officially certified as an organic farm by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The farm stand opened on Ave Maria Blvd. in January.

Gas Station Update: Week of June 10-14?

Licensing issues are holding up opening of the gas station, Phil Toye of Automated Gas and Petroleum said Thursday. He said the hope now is to open the station and mini-mart by the middle of the week of June 10-14.

Immokalee Fire Dept Seeking Share of Casino Taxes

The Immokalee Fire Control District, which has responsibility for Ave Maria, is seeking a share of special taxes paid by the Seminole Casino, Fire Chief Paul Anderson told the montly meeting of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District Tuesday morning. The board's main decision was to approve hiring a new law firm to replace the district's attorney who retired earlier this year.
