Sailing Adventure to the Dry Tortugas

 Eleven Ave Maria residents and friends sailed to the Dry Tortugas islands -- a 200-mile round trip -- May 10-14 aboard Bob Campbell's 36-foot sailboat the Jubilee -- the only ship federally registered with a home port of Ave Maria Florida.

Gas Station Update: Opening Now Expected May 29

The Mobil gas station and convenience store opening now is targeted for May 29, according to Phil Toye of station owner Automated Petroleum and Energy, who said Wednesday that the latest delay is caused by a few unexpected difficulties.

 Highly-regarded Ave Maria University basketball coach Jamon Copeland resigned Monday after four seasons, during which time he steadily improved the team's performance on the court and in the classroom.
