There will be free admission to all Ave Maria residents at the water park on Memorial Day, along with free food from the Knights of Columbus and a performance by the local musical group Quest.
Fr. Robert Tatman, who has been in charge of the Quasi Parish of Ave Maria Oratory since its formation in 2008, has announced he is being reassigned as part of a reshuffle of parish administration in the Diocese of Venice. He said his replacement will be Fr. Cory Mayer, currently parochial vicar at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice and the diocesan director of vocations.
Manufacturing will begin gearing up in July at the new Arthrex facility in Ave Maria, company Director of Manufacturing Andy Owen (above) said during a tour of the plant for the Ave Herald. "You'd be hard-pressed to find a manufacturing facility like it anywhere in the world," he said.

Ave Maria University President Jim Towey closed out the academic year with some major announcements, but says they were just the culmination of a year of significant progress for the university on many fronts. He spoke at length with The Ave Herald about the past year, and what lies ahead.
