Ave Maria Universtiy and Law School Granted Injunctions in Obamacare Suit

The U.S. District Court has granted temporary injunctions to both Ave Maria University and the Ave Maria School of Law, meaning the schools will not need to provide contraceptive coverage immediately for employees. The schools were facing a Nov. 1 deadline to comply or face fines. The injunctions are in effect until higher courts rule on the issue that is being contested by numerous other organizations.

 Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Immokalee, just north of Ave Maria, will get a new church building that can hold twice the number of people, Bishop Frank Dewane announced over the weekend. (Above, an artist rendering of the new church)
