Ave Maria University Investigating Weekend Town Center Incident

AMU President Jim Towey said in a statement that the university would not tolerate disrespectful behavior toward police officers after two students were arrested during an unruly incident outside the pub in the town center overnight Saturday.

The Naples Daily News reports that at least two Ave Maria University students plan to file complaints against the Collier County Sheriff's Office alleging misconduct during an incident outside the pub in the town center that led to the arrest of at least one student.

UPDATE: Two young men were arrested in the Ave Maria town center overnight Saturday after more than a half-dozen police cars responded to an unruly disturbance outside the Pub of Ave Maria.
