Golf Cart Regulations on Road to Resolution

Collier County commissioners are expected to consider a new ordinance regulating golf cart use in Ave Maria at a meeting in January, although the exact wording of the ordinance remains unclear after a meeting of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District Tuesday.

Ave Maria a Major Venue for 2016 HITs Triathlon

The finish line and other portions of the HITs Triathlon Saturday, Jan 9, will be in Ave Maria for the first time and portions of the race will be coming through parts of Ave Maria. The triathlon, which attracts world-class athletes, has come through Ave Maria before but finished in Naples.

Coach Scanlon: No Shortage of Virtue or Effort in Shamrocks Loss in State Championship

 The Donahue Academy Shamrocks lost to undefeated Clearwater Academy 68-20 in the state eight-man football championship game Saturday but showed great character, Head Coach Rich Scanlon (right) said.
