Donahue Student Shines in Free Throw Contest

 Donahue Academy student Joseph Cox won the Knights of Columbus state championship in the 13-year-old boys division of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw tournament. He qualified by winning the local competition at Donahue, then the regionals at Port Charlotte and finally the state title last weekend at Claremont, FL. County Commissioners Approve Incentives for Arthrex Ave Maria Expansion

The Collier County Commission has approved a half-million-dollar incentive package for further expansion at its Ave Maria manufacturing facility. The expansion will create 350 new jobs, bringing the total employment at Arthrex in Ave Maria to more than 1,000.

Movie Shot in Ave Maria to have Local-Area Debut March 30

 Hybrids, a feature-length comedy shot almost entirely in Ave Maria, is planning a Naples debut March 30 at the Hollywood 20 cinema. The film, written by Ave Maria resident Tony Schweickle, used many Ave Maria residents as extras. (Above, actor Paul Sorvino, who has a featured role)
