Epic Snowfall Makes for an Epic Trip for AMU Students

 Among those whose plans were disrupted by the epic snowstorm in Washington, D.C., were 150 Ave Maria students who traveled by bus to Washington, only to come back before the march to avoid being trapped in the storm. The students had their own "mini march" in Washington (above) and spent more than 40 hours getting two and from the nation's capital.

 The sixth annual Sunshine State Steak Cook-Off takes over the Ave Maria town center Saturday, Jan. 30, with organizers expecting to serve a few thousand steaks, one of which will be judged the best steak in Florida.

Overnight Storm Takes Down Numerous Trees in Ave Maria

 A violent storm that moved through Southwest Florida overnight took down many trees in Ave Maria but there were no reports of any injuries or damage to houses. (Above, downed trees became play areas in several neighborhoods, including this one on Taylor Drive.)

Kevin Joyce Resigns as Head of AMU Institutional Advancement

 One of Ave Maria University's higher profile senior administrators has resigned to take a position with a Catholic charity based in Chicago. Mr. Joyce intends to remain living with his family in Ave Maria.
