Donahue Academy Places 3rd in Scholar Bowl

A team from Donahue Academy made it to the final three in the Collier County Scholar Bowl competition Saturday, and wound up finishing third behind Naples High School in 2nd place and winner Community School of Naples. Above, the team: Andrew Guernsey, Michael Klein, Macy Helm, coach Michael Dauphinais, Michael John Dauphinais, Joe Guernsey and Gabe Allan.

AMU Women Win Sun Conference Championship

The Ave Maria University women's basketball team won the NAIA Sun Conference tournament championship with a 63-52 win over St. Thomas University Saturday at Miami Gardens. The Lady Gyrenes have earned a berth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national tournament beginning in March.

AMU Signs 2 Linemen for 2012 Football Season

ambeau1Ave Maria University has announced the signing of two football recruits, one of whom, Josh Ambeau (right) is discerning for the priesthood in his home diocese of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The other,  Sebastian Woods-Mariano, is a standout from the Orlando area.
