The Karen Laub-Novak Library at the Donahue Academy in Ave Maria opened officially Thursday, providing students with a modern new resource and computer lab.

The Feast of the Annunciation was celebrated in Ave Maria with Mass, a Eucharistic Procession and festivities on the campus of Ave Maria University. Above, Bishop Frank Dewane leading the procession outside the oratory.

An Annunciation Sunrise

The Ave Maria Oratory is oriented so that it directly faces the azimuth of the sunrise on March 25, the normal date for celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation. The above picture was taken shortly after sunrise on March 25, 2012, although the feast day is observed this year on Monday, March 26.

Members of the Ave Maria women's basketball team did more than play basketball when they travelled to Sioux City, Iowa, for the NAIA Division II tournament. Library Exhibit Showcases Prints from New Illuminated Bible

Working with quill pens and other medieval materials, a team of artists and calligraphers working for 12 years has created a new illuminated bible, the first commissioned by a Benedictine abbey in 500 years. Selected prints are on display at the Ave Maria University Canizaro Library until May 7.
