Another AMU Record Enrollment Seen

AMU Chancellor Tom Monaghan expects this fall's incoming freshman class to be even larger than last year's record 291 students. "We've budgeted 300 but hope for 400," Mr. Monaghan said at a news conference after the ribbon-cutting for the law school in Vineyards. "Applications are up at AMU while they're down at other universities," he added.
Pro Soccer Coming to Ave Maria?

Two teams in the United Soccer League may begin playing in Ave Maria in 2010. AMU President Nick Healy referred in the current edition of Founder Magazine to an "arrangement for two professional minor league soccer teams to build a new field on our campus." The Naples Daily News reports more details here.

Endowed Scholarship Announced at Gyrene Gala

 The Michael J. Flanagan scholarship for AMU military scholars was made possible by a donation of $100,000 from Doreen Garrett (center) and her family. In the picture, taken at Saturday's Gyrene Gala, Mrs. Garrett is flanked by her husband, Jody, and father, Jerry Williams. Mr. Williams lives in Ave Maria with his wife, Lori.
