A large alligator drew a crowd to Plymouth Place in Del Webb Friday afternoon when he turned up at the home of Carlos Figueroa. Trappers hired by Ave Maria Development were in the town at the time and responded quickly to capture the gator, according to resident Jo Ellen Monahan, who took the pictures in this story. At right, the 9 1/2-foot gator is being hauled into a truck watched by a number of residents.
Mrs. Monahan said that she was told that about 25 alligators have been caught since the town opened in July, 2007.
