Tom Cardamone (above with his wife, Ann) has a special connection with Ave Maria as the illustrator of the first children's picture book about the town, Monty, Cat of Ave Maria. He says Ave Maria's Festival of the Arts is one of his favorite shows.

 They met as sculptors in stone. But eventually, Peggy Kirkpatrick (left) and Marion Haley branched off together in a new artistic pursuit: working with fused glass, a medium where light melds with the simple fact that glass can be heated, fused and shaped into items that are functional or decorative - or both.

"Holy Relics Day" Offers Talks on Shroud of Turin, Holy Grail

A second lecture, on the Holy Grail, has been added to the Lifelong Education Series for March 21. The first talk, by Barrie Schortz, official photographer for the Shroud of Turin Research Project, will explore scientific examination and analyses of the Shroud. The second talk by Dr. Daniel Scavone of the University of Southern Indiana will discuss the true literary history or origins of the Holy Grail.
