Easter in Ave Maria on Saturday and Sunday included the traditional blessing of the Easter food, welcoming new Catholics into the Church, and the annual Easter Day egg hunt.

AMU Lawsuit Over HHS Mandate Dismissed - For Now

A U.S. District Court judge has dismissed on procedural grounds Ave Maria University's lawsuit against the Obamacare contraceptive mandate, saying that a ruling would be premature because AMU is not facing immediate penalties and regulations are still evolving. The decision mirrors many similar decisions involving Catholic dioceses and universities.

Gov. Scott to Deliver AMU 2013 Commencement Address

 Governor Rick Scott will be Ave Maria University's 2013 commencement speaker, the school announced Thursday. Kevin "Seamus" Hasson, founder of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, will receive an honorary doctorate degree at the commencement exercises May 4. Above, Gov. Scott visiting AMU in 2011.
