More Arrests for Stealing Ave Maria Sign Letters

Three more Ave Maria University students were arrested Friday on theft charges for stealing large metal letters from the Ave Maria entrance sign on Oil Well Rd. A fourth student was arrested in December for the same incident, and a second investigation into a similar incident Jan. 13 is being investigated by the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Triathlon Hits Ave Maria

tri1-125A total of 74 triathletes rode through Ave Maria Saturday and hundreds more in the half-triathlon turned around at the main gate on Oil Well Rd. Among those in the half triatthlon was NASCAR champion driver Jimmie Johnson, competing in his first triathlon.
