The first tennis courts available to all residents of Ave Maria now are open in South Park.
The two courts, built by the Ave Maria Master Association, have replaced pickleball courts that had been in South Park since the town opened in 2007.
Lights that are currently being adjusted will illuminate the courts until 10 p.m. although players will need to switch the lights on.
There are other tennis courts in the town of Ave Maria, on the AMU campus and at the Del Webb Oasis Club, but those can be used only by either AMU students or residents of that Del Webb.
