Update: Local Student Chosen for Olympic Development Soccer Trials

Laura Mastandrea (right) has been selected to participate in the next round of the trials. She competed in first round in October and although not initially chosen for the next round, received word recently that she was selected. Aircraft Displays to Highlight 'Wings and Wheels' Event Feb. 6

 A variety of aircraft, including a MiG-21 like the one pictured above, will be on display and demonstrated at Immokalee Airport feb. 6 at the Wings and Wheels event sponsored by the Eastern Collier Chamber of Commerce. Vintage cars will also be shown and dragsters will compete in races Feb. 5, 6 and 7.

$1,000 Prize Offered for Best Poem About The Annunciation

 The Festival of the Arts at Ave Maria University will award a $1,000 prize in a competition for the best poem written about The Annunciation. The winner will be announced at the Festival of the Arts, March 28
