AMU Softball Starts on Winning Note

 The softball team won its first-ever game Friday, beating Calumet College of St. Joseph, Indiana, 4-3 in the first game of a double-header. The Gyrenes dropped the second game 8-1. Above, winning pitcher Angela Mulally, who pitched 5 scoreless innings for AMU. Click for story from AMU Athletics

Lisa DiPalma Bonfiglio Garden to be Dedicated at Law School

 A garden at the Ave Maria Law School will be dedicated to the memory of the niece of Jack and Moira Fennnessey, on Tuesday February 2. The Fennesseys are long-time supporters of Ave Maria University, and Moira has served as co-chair of the Festival of the Arts. The AMU schola will sing at the dedication, and afterwards, a luncheon will be held at the Vineyards Country Club.

AMU Closer to Regional Accreditation

Ave Maria University is one step closer to possible accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools following a visit by the association's Commission on Colleges. A decision could be announced this June. Click here for story from Naples Daily News
