Graduation events for Ave Maria University get under way Friday at 5 p.m. with the Baccalaureate Mass at which Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston will preside. Saturday's commencement speaker will be novelist Mary Higgins Clark, and an honorary degree also will be conferred on Catholic philanthropist Frank Hanna III.
