Kathryn Dionne Awarded First Our Lady's Leaders Scholarship

Emerson Park resident Kathryn Anne-Buguey Dionne of Emerson Park is the first-ever recipient of a scholarship to Ave Maria University sponsored by the local women's group Our Lady's Leaders. Miss Dionne will receive $400 that was raised through a variety of projects.

 In addition to participating in scheduled events, Cardinal Sean O'Malley mingled with students and town residents during his two days in Ave Maria, saying he was "delighted" to witness AMU's progress, the cohesiveness of the community and the "beautiful liturgical life."  Best-selling novelist Mary Higgins Clark told Ave Maria University's graduates that happiness in life will come from loving what they do. A total of 133 degrees were conferred Saturday -- 86 bachelor's degrees and 47 graduate degrees. Above, faculty and graduates arriving at the oratory.
