Representatives of Ave Maria Development told the Collier County Planning Commission this morning that they were withdrawing, at least for now, any proposed changes to reduce numbers of sidewalks and trails in the town. On other matters involving land use, the commission requested additional information and will continue the discussion Sept. 18.

The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board approved a revised set of rules and regulations for operation of golf carts at its August meeting, and also approved a budget for the coming fiscal year that keeps district assessments level with previous years.
