Farm City BBQ at Ave Maria This Year

 The event, a local tradition between farmers in Eastern Collier County and businesses in Collier County for almost 50 years, will be held just north of the Arthrex facility Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the festivities, including a steak meal, can be purchased online here.
AMSCD Pays Tribute to Retiring Tom Sansbury

 The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District expressed its appreciation Tuesday to Tom Sansbury, a Barron Collier executive whom district lawyer Ken van Assenderp said "played a special role" in getting the formation of the district approved by various levels of government. Mr. Sansbury is retiring at the end of the year.

Film Tonight on Catholics Fighting Persecution in French Revolution

A film about the uprising in the Vendée section of France during the French Revolution – a heroic effort by ordinary Catholic people to fight back against Catholic persecution – will be shown free tonight in the AMU lecture hall at 7 p.m. All the roles in the film are played by children of varying ages.

Ave Maria Choraliers Begin Rehearsals Soon

The Ave Maria Choraliers start rehearsals Nov. 30 for their Christmas programs. They will be entertaining residents of nursing homes in Naples among other activities. Anyone with a love of singing is welcome to join the Choraliers.

AMSCD to Elect Three to Board Tuesday

A landowners meeting will elect three members to the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board at a meeting Tuesday morning. Other business, including final approval of the budget for the last fiscal year, also will be considered at a regular board meeting preceeding the landowners meeting.
