A basic course in handgun and firearms safety will be offered Friday evening, Oct. 14, and Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15. Completion of the course enables a person to apply for a permit to carry firearms in Florida -- whether you are a resident of Florida or not.\nThe course has two hours of classroom instruction beginning at 7 p.m. at the Del Web sales center, followed by two hours of range instruction at the Louland Gun Range beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday.
