"The 5000 Year Leap," an in-depth book and DVD curriculum on the principles that led to the creation of the U.S. Constitution, will be offered Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from June 1 to Aug. 31 at the Tidewater Club at Del Webb. The sessions are open to from 9th grade to adult and there is no charge to attend.\nThe 5000 Year Leap teaches the Twenty-eight Principles of Liberty the founders used to create the U.S. Constitution - Ideas that Changed the World. Some describe "The 5000 Year Leap" as the Constitution in everyday language: "Loved by high school students, supported by parents, sought after by lawmakers, endorsed by citizens across the nation." Each weekly session is complete in itself, and the DVD excerpt from the book allows even those who have not read the book to join in the discussion. Weekly sessions consist mostly of two DVD principles. Each principle is followed by group discussion. Participants may attend all or any of the sessions.Those attending should get the book and read Chapters One and Two before the first session.
