Fred Coyle, a leader in the effort to bring a Jackson Lab facility to the area, won a narrow re-election victory Tuesday night over challenger Lavigne Kirkpatrick in the Republican primary for the District 4 seat. Mr. Coyle received about 54 percent of the vote and is commissioner-elect as there is no challenger in the general election.
