Donahue Academy Notches 2nd Blowout Win

A swarming defense and a balanced offensive attack powered the Donahue Academy Shamrocks to a 39-2 win over Miami Christian in the Shamrocks's home opener at North Park Saturday night.

Donahue now is 2-0 on the season and the two points allowed Saturday night were the only points opponents have scored against the Shamrocks in this season.jakeandcameron1

On offense, Matt Houde scored two touchdowns, and Cameron Joyce and Gabe Allen added one each.

The Shamrocks play their next three games at home, with the next one against Cape Coral Christian Academy, last year's conference champions, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at North Park.

A festive atmosphere prevailed Saturday night, with the crowd fired up and music provided by DJ Tom DiFlorio. Below, some of the girls from the Donahue Academy (photo-Roy Lenardson)
