The graduates, who will receive their diplomas after a Mass in the oratory Friday morning, are:

The school has grown significantly in the three years it has been open, and Headmaster Dan Guernsey says he is expecting another substantial increase in enrollment - to more than 200 students - for the next academic year.

allan1The school has started to finish space on its second floor to accommodate this growth, Dr. Guernsey said. When the two-story structure opened in 2007, only the first floor was built out.

The Donahue Academy added a number of athletic programs during the year  - including six-man football (right, Gabriel Allan scoring the team's first touchdown) and girls basketball. In a different sort of competition, its JV middle school scholar bowl team finished third in a competition involving all Naples-area middle schools.

The school also was accredited this year by the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools (NAPCIS), and Dr. Guernsey said that the academy will receive its third and final visit from the Association of Independent Schools in Florida next spring.
