Ladies -- and even a few men -- packed the ballroom at the Ave Maria University student union Wednesday for a day of fashion, shopping and socializing at the school's 2nd Spring Brunch and Style Show. The event, which raises money for AMU scholarships, is proving to be one of the school's more popular fund-raisers.
AMU Student Government President Daniel "Monty" Montgomery welcomed the 300 attendees, thanking them for their generosity which he said benefits many students

The event began in the morning as crowds of women thronged the displays of clothing and jewelry for sale by Ave Maria shops The Secret Ingredient and Beckner Jewelry.
Music by Naples harpist Janelle House (right) greeted attendees as they filed into the ballroom.
Supporters of the school and a number of local children modeled a variety of spring fashions at the style show, narrated by Secret Ingredient owner Jeannie Rush.
