Julian Gonzalez Wins Honors in Piano Competition

julian4aDonahue Academy student Julian Gonzalez has won one of the top spots in his category in the FGCU/Steinway young Artists' Piano Competition. He finished as one of the top three of 21 students who competed in the junior level (grades 7-9) last weekend at a competition at the Steinway Piano Gallery Recital Hall in Bonita Springs.

Julian, at right with his parents Don and Mary Stuller who own the Quik Pack and Ship in the town center, will perform in the Achievement Awards Recital Saturday, May 30, at 3 p.m. at the Student Union Ballroom of Florida Gulf Coast University. All the finalists will receive trophies and cash scholarships ranging of $500, $750 or $1,000. 

Julian's musical talents are not limited to the piano. He also plays the trumpet in the Ave Maria Concert Band.
