"The sooner I turn this over to the residents, the better," Mr. Gable told the Ave Herald, adding that the district "doesn't have the ability to do a single solitary thing of consequence."
"It's about infrastructure, maintenance and landscaping and everyone seems pleased with all of that," he said.
In the video shot by the Naples Daily News, resident Jim Dudek said of the Naples Daily News series, "It represents a lot of good research, but it doesn't cause any kind of concern for us."
Roy Lenardson, a resident of Emerson Park, told the Ave Herald he believes it's premature to be worried about control issues. "The real question at this early stage is are we being treated fairly? Every concern I've had has been dealt with appropriately."
"It's too early in the development to go down a path of suspicion and innuendo," Mr. Lenardson said .If the structure of the AMSCD begins to cause problems, he said he is confident the control matter will be resolved.
Mary Claire Dant of Hampton Village had similar comments. "I'm not worried about the situation at all," she said. "I feel I've been treated fairly here...my voice has been heard. I have a positive attitude about what is going on here."
